Rockers Oli Brown And The Dead Collective Announce The Initium Tour and share video “Everything You Want.”
Oli Brown & The Dead Collective announce their highly anticipated headline tour over eight dates taking in some of the finest club venues of the UK. The tour follows the release of two gripping EP’s, ‘Prelude’ and ‘Prologue’ which both received rave reviews. Opening for The Answer earlier this year saw the band gain new fans wowing audiences; “Watching this band is an experience. The music is majestic and loaded with emotion which translates to an emotional performance” Moshville Times, “Truly a spectacular and electric performance” Maximum Voltage Music.
Their new video “Everything You Want” is a slice of riff-laden modern rock. The video coincides with the release of their new EP ‘Prologue’, the follow up to their highly acclaimed debut EP. In a physical and digital download release via the band, the four track epic adventure is available as a standard CD and a strictly Limited Edition CD & vinyl of 250 CD and 100 vinyl boasting alternate artwork.
“Everything You Want” is haunting and muscular all at once, defining itself as a hit single completely on its own terms. It has an evocative presence as well as a dirty, modern heart that deploys noisy guitars and big riffs to make its emotional point. Oli Brown is a mesmerizing figure on vocals and guitar, weaving a tapestry of old-school attitude and post-Covid tension that feels perfect for this moment in time. Drummer Wayne Procter and bassist Alex Smith put down the pocket Brown needs to get this one out and are a quite-powerful two-man crew. If you’re on the hunt for some new rock that’s actually fresh, you just found it.

The EP was written/co-produced by Oli and esteemed drummer Wayne Proctor, featuring the talents of Andrew Banfield (piano, percussion), Steve Amadeo and Alex Phillips (bass) and the much in demand live guitarist with the band Sam Wood providing all of the guitars for the closing track ‘Sinking Ship’. The sweeping operatic version of the song from the debut EP ‘Prelude’ has cellist Jo Quail providing her interpretation. With sonic density and brutally raw performances, it is as if Soundgarden and Pink Floyd collided into a unified musical space.
Even in the darkest, heaviest moments of Oli Brown and The Dead Collective’s songs, there is a sense of hope and redemption, a light that shines through the cracks. Through the gravitas of their epic, anthemic rock, hung heavy in feeling and dramatic soundscapes, their music and live performances immerse the listener in an unforgettable experience.
