The Damn Truth release their new single and video “Lonely”, produced by legendary Bob Rock (Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Metallica). The release of “Lonely” dovetails with The Damn Truth’s July 2023 UK tour.
Psychedelic Montreal four-piece rock and roll band, The Damn Truth, are pleased to announce the Wednesday May 31st release of their new single and accompanying music video, “Lonely.”
“Lonely” is a crunching, psychedelic rock track that will move both your mind and your body. Consider it a dystopian venting session with a beat. Lead vocalist Lee-la Baum is absolutely mesmerizing and uses her big-league voice to shout down everything that has sent her reeling. The band is tight and dynamic and each member digs in, drops tone, and makes waves. The song’s music video only adds to its power. The Damn Truth is one of the best straight-up rock bands in the world right now. Play this one loud and join the commotion!
“The song Lonely started taking shape in our touring van as we began a cross Canada tour,” says TDT’s lead singer, Lee-La Baum. “Three days into that journey, our van went up in flames with our acoustic instruments, personal belongings and our hopes to continue our long-awaited tour.”

Continues Lee-la, “We put together a GoFundMe campaign so that we could rent wheels that would take us and our trailer of stage gear home. 24 hours later there was an incredible amount of money in our account. It was enough to buy a new van, clothes, and rent the gear to continue our tour. It was the beginning of our love affair with the incredible hearts and souls that make up our rock n roll community.”
“After the tour, we started recording demos for the songs that would later become Now or Nowhere. ‘Lonely’ was one of the first songs we sent to Bob Rock, but it was originally called ‘Needs Help.’ It was just an acapella vocal line because, after the van fire, which was the way we were playing it on tour. It was an ode to our fans that saved us from being lonely and stranded on the highway.”
“Lonely” dovetails The Damn Truth’s summer concerts in the UK throughout July. The band will play a series of headline concerts and will also play Steelhouse Festival on Saturday July 29th. Tickets for the band’s July headline concerts are available from The Gig Cartel HERE

The band have been championed by the British music press with extensive magazine coverage in Rolling Stone, Classic Rock, Blues Matters, Guitarist, Powerplay, Guitar Techniques, Record Collector, Fireworks, Blues in Britain, Hard Rock Hell, MNPR, and R’N’R Magazine.
Six tracks on the new album “Now or Nowhere” were produced by legendary Grammy Award winning Bob Rock (Metallica, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, The Cult, The Offspring) at Bryan Adams’ recording studio “The Warehouse” in Vancouver.
“Now or Nowhere” chronicles the band as they navigate life, love, and everything else in a world gone seemingly upside down and sideways. Due to the fact that they were unable to finish the album with Bob because of COVID-19 restrictions, the band recorded the remaining three songs with help from Juno Award-winning producer Jean Massicotte who mixed “Everything Fades”; and the rest of the mixing was done by Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton), Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against The Machine), and Mike Plotnikoff (Van Halen, Cranberries).
The Damn Truth have toured Europe and North America and opened tours for Z.Z. Top (they partied with Billy Gibbons in his pyjamas), The Sheepdogs, Styx, King King, and Rival Sons, and were also featured on Joe Bonamassa’s 2021 Keeping The Blues Alive Stream-A-Thon.
