Jovin Webb Drops Gritty Blues Anthem “I’m A Drifter”
Jovin Webb continues to build momentum for his highly anticipated debut album Drifter with the release of its title track, “I’m A Drifter,” available now on all streaming platforms. The single, a slow-burn blues anthem steeped in themes of restlessness and a life lived on the edge, is accompanied by an intimate, in-studio music video, capturing Webb in his element as he recorded the track.
“I’m A Drifter” is the latest release from Webb’s forthcoming album Drifter, out October 18th via Blind Pig Records, and serves as a nod to the blues classics that have shaped his musical journey. Sonically, the track kicks off with a thumping bass line and Webb’s growling vocals, conjuring the spirit of The Temptations’ “Papa Was A Rolling Stone” and Muddy Waters’s “Rollin’ Stone.”
On this gritty blues rock number, Jovin Webb strikes it hot with one helluva song. The catchy bass line kicks off the guitar-driven song as Webb’s gravely vocal leads us into the life of a drifter, always running, up at night, “heading to places I don’t belong.” Great groove.
The lyrics tell the story of a man constantly on the move, avoiding attachment, and embracing the drifter’s life: “I’m a drifter man yes I am / I’m so used to being alone / Sometimes I feel I got no home.” Webb’s raw and soulful delivery captures the essence of this “lifestyle blues,” balancing gritty realism with introspective moments. “‘I’m A Drifter’ is a song about late nights and one-night-stands—it’s some true lifestyle blues,” Webb shares with a good-natured laugh.

This stripped-back setting amplifies the authenticity of the song and gives viewers an intimate glimpse into the making of Drifter.
Produced by multi-Grammy-winning producer Tom Hambridge (Buddy Guy, Susan Tedeschi, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram), Drifter is a 12-track exploration of Webb’s life, blending blues, soul, and Southern rock. From the haunting “Bottom of a Bottle” to the socially conscious “Save Me,” each song reveals a piece of Webb’s journey as he navigates love, loss, and personal redemption.
As Webb gears up for a busy tour schedule across Europe and the U.S., Drifter promises to be a defining statement in his career—a testament to his perseverance and dedication to his craft.
