Marc Broussard Unveils New Video ‘Time is A Thief’
Powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Marc Broussard shares the new video for “Time is a Thief,” the title track and latest single from his forthcoming album, to be released on September 27. The song reflects on the concept of time as an uncontrollable force, emphasizing the importance of accepting and embracing change and evolution in life.
Co-written by Broussard and Joe Stark, the single showcases Broussard’s emphatic vocals along with the talented lineup of Eric Krasno on guitars, piano, and percussion; Jeremy Most on bass, Rhodes piano, and backing vocals; and Lorenzo Molina (The Mavericks) on trumpet, adding a jazz-inspired Latin-style flair to the song. The track exudes a soulful vibe accentuated by the bite of brass, culminating in a captivating refrain.
The accompanying video effectively captures the song’s exuberant energy through a montage of clips featuring Broussard in behind-the-scenes studio footage with producers Krasno and Most, interacting with fans and dynamic live performances.
Marc Broussard at his best! With a Latin flavor one helluva groove, Broussard merges into hit territory with “Time Is A Thief.”

Broussard’s new album, Time is a Thief, finds the acclaimed Louisiana vocalist delivering a captivating ten-song set filled with gritty, rootsy hooks and dance floor grooves, all wrapped around his fervent vocals. The album was produced by Grammy-winning guitarist/songwriter/producer Eric Krasno (Soulive, Lettuce) and Grammy-nominated producer/guitarist Jeremy Most (Emily King), resulting in a funky, soulful sound with rich, diverse sonic textures that set it apart from Broussard’s previous works. Featuring prior singles, “Way You Shine” and “Give You the World.”, Time is a Thief marks Broussard’s first album of original music in seven years and is set to release on September 27 through his Artist Tone Label.

Time is a Thief
Written by Marc Broussard and Joe Stark
I don’t wanna believe that I’m dying, Yet I can’t help but notice
That I’m barely hanging on
I wanna believe that I’m trying, but every time I open my eyes
The world’s on fire
See the same thing that drives your passion
Is the same thing that makes us cold
And like every modern fashion
What once was new will soon be old
Cuz time is a thief
Yeah, in this life, there’s no guarantees
Time’s gonna teach you
That you can’t cheat time, Ain’t no lie
Time is a thief
Just ticking along no matter where you’re going
So, what are you willing to do
With your time
I know it’s hard to believe it gets better, but take it from me when you just change your gaze
You can change your ways
If they don’t wanna believe, just forget them, Cuz you can lead a horse to water
But they’ll never drink ’til they wanna
The same thing that drives your passion
Is the same thing that makes us cold
And like every modern fashion
What you bought last week is already old
Cuz time is a thief
Yeah, in this life there’s no guarantees
Time’s gonna teach you
That you can’t cheat time, Ain’t no lie
Time is a thief
Just ticking along no matter where you’re going
So, what’re you willing to do
With your time
