Ana Popovic, Power
The contemporary blues rock star Ana Popovic announced her upcoming album ‘Power’ set to release May 5, 2023. And we can’t wait. Highly acclaimed guitarist, singer, songwriter Ana Popovic celebrates her guitar-driven, eclectic music style on her new album and shares her personal story of dealing with breast cancer. She triumphed with the help of her bass player/musical director Bothell and came up with music inspired by her journey. Go Ana.

Joe Bonamassa, Tales Of Time
Today, the three-time GRAMMY-nominated guitarist and 25x Billboard chart-topper Joe Bonamassa has announced Tales Of Time, a sprawling and expansive live concert film and album featuring material from his latest #1 studio album, Time Clocks. Filmed at the breathtaking Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado in August 2022, Tales Of Time was produced by long-time collaborator and producer Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Journey). Tales Of Time will be released April 14th worldwide via Bonamassa’s J&R Adventures.

Mike Zito & Albert Castiglia, Blood Brothers
One of the most anticipated albums of the year, Blood Brothers features multi Blues Music Award-winners Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia. The album is produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith. Can I hear a ‘yeah!!’? Both stunning guitar players, singers, songwriters, it makes perfect sense that these two join efforts, especially with their self-proclaimed brotherhood.

Taj Mahal, Savoy
Three-time Grammy winner, roots music legend, Taj Mahal is set to release his new album, Savoy, on April 28 via Stony Plain Records. A living legend, Taj has pushed the envelope of American roots music forward by incorporating sounds from the Caribbean, Africa, traditional blues and jazz. He has won three Grammy Awards from 14 nominations, was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame, and presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association. With Savoy, Taj takes a new direction in his musical journey, exploring a collection of blues tinged classic material with his good friend and acclaimed record producer John Simon (The Band, Leonard Cohen, Gordon Lightfoot and Blood Sweat & Tears.)

Rival Sons, Darkfighter
Everyone’s been waiting for this hot rock band to release another album. Darkfighter comes out March 10th and it couldn’t be soon enough. Produced by Dave Cobb, Rival Sons have released a couple of fiery singles. Expect nothing less from uber-vocalist Jay Buchanan, lead guitarist Scott Holiday, bassist Dave Best, and drummer Michael Miley.

Robert Jon & The Wreck, One Of A Kind
Southern roots rockers Robert Jon & The Wreck teamed up with Joe Bonamassa’s nw independent label, Journeyman Records to release One Of A Kind, produced by multi Grammy winning producer Don Was (Bonnie Raitt, The Stones, John Mayer). Their new single “Who Can You Love” is out now. A great band with some of the best lead vocals and harmonies.

Joanna Connor, (No Title Announced Yet)
Chicago guitar wizard Joanna Connor signed with Mike Zito’s Gulf Coast Records for a label debut in Spring of 2023. Connor recorded with her band the Wrecking Crew 22 in December of 2022. We can’t wait to hear it! This blues/rock guitar goddess is also a mighty singer and songwriter. Her last album 4801 South Indiana Ave was produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith. Plus 2021 also saw Connor performing in an Adrian Lynne movie, Deep Water which was released in March of 2022.

The Wood Brothers, Heart Is The Hero
Their eighth studio album, The Wood Brothers’ Heart Is The Hero is set to release April 14 via Honey Jar/Thirty Tigers. Leaders of the roots music movement, their album was recorded analog to 16-track tape direct from the studio floor with nary a computer in sight, brothers Oliver and Chris Wood, along with honorary sibling Jano Rix, stripped back their sound to its elemental core, focusing on the impact of the performances over studio perfection. The results sonically reflect the themes of presence, grace, and faith that inform the collection’s ten songs. Bound to be a gem.

Joe Louis Walker, Weight Of The World
Award-winning blues and roots musician, legend really, Joe Louis Walker is set to release his new album, Weight oF The World out February 17 on Forty Below Records, produced by Eric Corne. A Blues Hall of Fame inductee and six-time Blues Music Award winner, Walker has been described as “a legendary boundary-pushing icon of modern blues” by NPR. His 2015 release, Everyone Wants a Piece, was nominated for a Grammy Award in the “Best Contemporary Blues Album” category. In addition, Walker dueted with B.B. King on his Grammy Award-winning Blues Summit album and played guitar on James Cotton’s Grammy-winning album Deep in the Blues.

Savoy Brown, Blues All Around
Shortly after the new album was completed, Savoy Brown founder, guitarist, singer, and songwriter Kim Simmonds lost his battle with cancer on December 13, 2022. The legendary British blues rock band Savoy Brown follows the acclaimed Ain’t Done Yet and is dedicated to their fans. Blues All Around showcases Kim Simmonds’ most-inspired guitar work and expressive vocals, since his illness during the recording sessions lead him to play a great deal more slide guitar than on previous albums.

The Cold Stares, Voices
One of our favorite heavy blues rock bands, The Cold Stares blend blues, Southern and hard rock to bold heights. Guitarist Chris Tapp and drummer Brian Mullins added a bassist Bryce Klueh to the band, rounding out an already slamming sound. Gifted songwriters, Voices is surely to delight. They released their new single “Throw That Stone”.

Eddie 9V, Capricorn
A sure fire star on his way to the limelight, Eddie 9V is a bluesman/soul man with more than his fair share of talent. His new album, Capricorn is out January 27, 2023 on Ruf Records. Made in Eddie 9V’s native Atlanta, most of Capricorn was recorded live in the studio. With the same core group of musicians as his last two albums, Kelly on bass, guitarist Cody Matlock, keyboardist Chad Mason, and drummer Aaron Hambrick. (Eddie 9V also plays bass on five tracks and drums on six) it gives the performances a thrilling immediacy.
