Country rockers The Comancheros release their newest single “Blue Yodel in G” on October 21st. This is their final single from their forthcoming album, Memphis To Mexico set to release November 25th, produced by Richard Young and David Barrick.

Hook-filled and heavy, “Blue Yodel In G” is a perfect roots rock track that’s entertaining and relatable. The song is a mid-speed chugger full of dirty guitars and lyrics about being sick of work and ready for some good times and whiskey. It’s a weekend anthem for working folks everywhere and The Comancheros put it down like they’ve lived it. This trio has the right touch and attitude to make American rock and roll come alive and every one of us needs to hear and feel them do it.

The band’s seven-track album, including “Blue Yodel In G,” was produced with Richard Young of Kentucky Headhunters. Elevating the band’s sound and production for this record was paramount to their next move. “We wrote over 20 songs for this album. Richard Young helped us whittle them down to the best and ended up with seven,” The Comancheros share about their process.

With their signature redneck swagger and incredibly tight instrumentals, The Comancheros are rallying listeners to let out their worries and crack open a cold one. Clever lyricism (“I know these boots can cut a rug, but a rug’s been known to cut back”) amidst searing electric guitar and pounding drums make “Blue Yodel in G” one of the heaviest songs on the upcoming album, following the release of mid-tempo ballad “Yellow Roses” and tongue-in-cheek tune “Happy Birthday to Me.”

The devil-may-care attitude the three-piece band exudes in their music doesn’t interfere with finding success. With a brand-new mural located in downtown Nashville at The Basement East and a custom hot sauce named after the group, The Comancheros know how to have a good time and how to let it all go. “We hope people look at us and say, ‘They did rock ‘n roll right,” the band says about their career goals. If the handmade bullet belts and electrifying guitar solos are any indication, they’re already well on their way.

Touring and performing nonstop since 2015, The Comancheros have stormed the stage with Randy Rogers, The Cadillac Three, Drake White, The Steel Woods, Alabama, Whiskey Myers, Blackberry Smoke, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. With endless energy and a distinct sound, the three-piece band’s catalog spans six years, two albums, and a 2022 cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s classic “Mississippi Kid.” Their previous two singles as well as this song (and the entire album!) was produced by Kentucky Headhunter’s very own Richard Young.
