Listen to the Best 25 Blues Rock Albums of 2022 (so far) PLAYLIST HERE
Johnny Winter is a STAND ALONE – From his BLUES to Rock his style was his own- it’s a total shame and embarrassment he is not in the HALL OF FAME
Agree with you man ✌ in my day he was a badass & a funny, warm dude!
Hall of fame is an embarrassment in itself, my hall of fame is in my CD cabinet and lots of Johnny in there
I love lists like this because it gives me new artists to try.
Too bad your playlist didn’t include a Tidal version – I’ll have to do some work.
Dan
Considering this and all of our features are free to you for now, maybe it’s not that much work.
Listen out for Emanuel Casablanca’s new album “Blood on my Hands”, out this month. Stellar guests include Eric Gales, Albert Castiglia, Paul Gilbert, Kat Riggins and Jimmy Carpenter. I have heard it, and it’s a scorcher!
I have issues with the Grammys. The Blues is one of the only genres that has true artist. And yet they don’t get any television time or stage time at the Grammys. We get lots of Corporate music artists but not the real thing. My humble opinion Eric Gales Crown was by far the best contemporary Blues album this year. Lyrical and musically it’s hard not to give him the Grammy. The whole body of work on this album was very raw and honest and gave you a true insight of what was on Eric’s Heart and mind. A clear picture of what’s happening in this Country and a reflection of the truth when you strip away the politics. By far the best Album this year. Eric Gales showed the strength of his voice, something I don’t think he gets enough recognition or credit for. I first saw him In Memphis back in the 90’s and have enjoyed my front seat to his growth as a artist and a song writer who’s words can cut you and heal you, as his story plays out through his finger tips as he plays his guitar and through his words as his voice sings them. Yep I believe the voters got this one wrong..
