Multi award-winner, Elles Bailey releases her latest single and video, “Riding Out the Storm” from her eagerly awaited album Shining in the Half Light, set for release on February 25, 2022.

With her soulful, smoky vocals and smart, insightful songwriting, Elles Bailey wins hearts and minds with her new single and video “Riding Out The Storm.” A bluesy, mid-tempo number about a relationship in conflict, Elles sings, “Oh, what a beautiful mess we have made of the story, where did it all go wrong.”

Bailey is so easy to like—her songs glide in with heartfelt and perceptive stories, ushered in with smoldering vocals. Elles is one of those artists who doesn’t come along often; a sparkle that turns out to be a complete gem.

“’Riding Out The Storm’ is possibly the most special track to me on this album,” says Elles, “It’s hugely personal, but I truly hope listeners can relate to it.

Elles Bailey has earned Artist of the Year 2020 and 2021 by The UK Blues Awards plus Album of the Year 2020, Artist of the Year 2021, and Song of the Year 2020 by UK Americana Awards.

A flowing thoughtful, even philosophical number, “Riding Out the Storm” is anchored by soulful slide guitar by Joe Wilkins (who also co-wrote the tune) and enriched by gospel-inspired backing vocals.

Shining In The Half Light is Bailey’s third full-length album. Featuring guitarist Joe Wilkins, bassist Matthew Waer, Jonny Henderson on keys and drummer Matthew Jones, the record was captured at Middle Farm Studios (Devon) in December 2020, produced by Dan Weller.

Riding Out the Storm” continues Elles’ triumphant rollout of new material, following the release of “The Game,” “Cheats and Liars’” and “Sunshine City” (which premiered on Radio 2, with each becoming the most played track on Planet Rock for several weeks and earning prominent play on Blues, Roots and Americana Spotify playlists).

Bailey has toured with Grammy Award winner Mike Farris, The Kris Barras Band and King King. She also shared the stage with Beth Hart at Ramblin’ Man, The Temperance Movement at Swing Wespelaar and appeared at Nashville’s Americana Fest as part of the ‘House of Songs’ collaboration.

She has also become a featured artist at key festivals throughout the UK and Europe, including Black Deer and The Great British R&B Festival.

Elles will perform on Joe Bonamassa’s ‘Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea Cruise’ August 27, 2022.
