UK Rock band DARE are set to return with their highly anticipated 10th studio album Road To Eden released by Legend Records on Friday April 1, 2022.
Road To Eden is destined to be another modern DARE classic. Produced by their lead singer songwriter Darren Wharton (ex-Thin Lizzy) at his studio in the majestic mountains of North Wales. The new album has a harder rock edge than previous albums, while still retaining the atmospheric sound, and anthemic melodies that has become the band’s signature trademark.
Dare delivers an epic performance on “Born In The Storm” that’s deeply rooted in the classic rock tradition but still feels relevant and original. Darren Wharton’s lead vocals are strong and smooth with a presence that sits perfectly at the center of the mix. The track is filled with big drum sounds and gold-standard Les Paul tones, as nature intended great rock songs to be, and will send you scurrying for your controls to immediately turn it up and play it again. The accompanying music video makes the band larger-than-life and draws you further and further into the song’s world.
Road To Eden features ten brand new beautifully crafted songs that captures the very heart of DARE. With a full headline UK tour set for the UK in October 2022, plus dates in Spain, Scandinavia, and Germany, it’s going to be an exciting year for the band.
“We wanted to write an album that translated well to live performance,” says Darren. “Road To Eden has some great anthems, energy and power. We can’t wait to play the new songs live.”
With previous DARE albums now having well over 4 million streams on Spotify, it’s clear that for the growing army of DARE fans, the wait is nearly over, as they prepare to join DARE on The Road To Eden.

Love this band. So over due for them to be recognized in the USA. This should have happened 25-30 years ago. Sony, IMHO didn’t want them to be competition for Journey & Foreigner so they labeled Dare as a Blues Band thus killing their rise to stardum in USA. I first discovered them about 20 years ago when I watched Brian Cox narrate “The Universe” & learning he was their keyboardist in the beginning of Dare’s career. It just took 2 songs for me to fall in love with this band. They are my favorite band ever. It’s the rarest of bands that you can say you love every song on their albums. A rarety almost nonexistent. I am so, so overjoyed that America is finally getting to know this amazing band who’s music they were denied for all these years. Keep on rocking DARE. Don’t ever change. I thank God every day for guiding me to Brian Cox who introduced me to them & are saddened that so many of us in the US were deprived of the joy of having them in our lives for so long. I spent so many adjectives describing this band so I will just close with: Darren you have the sexiest voice l have ever heard, Vinny one of the best guitarist much success & happy to know fans young & old will get to enjoy your music & it won’t be deprived of it like in the past. Rock on.
I saw this band way back in 1992 when they supported Mr Tempest and the boys on the OOTW tour at the fleahouse in Edinburgh to promote their Out of the Silence 1Tour. So much better live than on vinyl. They sounded great live but the album was overproduced and too polished. It killed them. Great to see them back
