Elles Bailey Releases Video for “Sunshine City”

Bristol-based, multi-award-winning Elles Bailey got out in the sunshine in her home city to shoot the upbeat video “Sunshine City” for the second single from her next album, Shining In The Half Light, set to release early 2022. Elles will also be touring in the UK between October 28 -December 11 on her headlining ‘Sunshine City Tour.’

‘I know I’ve said it before,” says Elles,“but ‘Sunshine City’ isn’t supposed to take itself too seriously; it’s about letting your hair down, putting on your fancy shoes, gathering your friends together and reveling in a little bit of hedonism. So, to make the video, we did just that! I got my friends Lady Nade, Holly Dean Revington and Bexx out for a day partying in Bristol and George Montague followed us around with his camera. The video features some of my favorite spots from my hometown: Uncle Sam’s Vintage Store, The Broken Dock, & The Bristol Fringe.

Elles Baley is a smoky-voiced dynamo, who straddles the worlds of Americana and the blues, garnering accolades in both. She recently worked with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys in Nashville, writing the song “Little Piece Of Heaven” with him and Bobby Wood. It won UK Americana Awards Song Of The Year. Also in 2020 she scooped Artist Of The Year from the UK Blues Awards for the second time in succession.

Her singing and songwriting skills are equally stratospheric as evidenced on albums Wildfire and the UK Blues Awards winner of Album Of The Year, Road I Call Home. She has powered through the pandemic, releasing both a live album, Ain’t Nothin’ But, and her first child. She hopes to further her reputation as a road warrior as COVID restrictions lift.

Previously she has toured with Grammy Award winner Mike Farris, The Kris Barras Band and King King. She also shared the stage with Beth Hart at Ramblin’ Man, The Temperance Movement at Swing Wespelaar Festival and appeared at Nashville’s Americana Fest as part of the ‘House of Songs’ collaboration. There is much more to come from this hard-working chanteuse.

Elles Bailey has become a featured artist at key festivals throughout the UK and Europe (including Black Deer, Swing Wespelaar, Ramblin’ Man Fair & The Great British R&B Festival; not to mention slots at Nashville’s Americana Fest 2019).

Getting back on the road, post-pandemic, Elles has been featured at selected festivals throughout the summer of 2021, including, Love Rocks; a headline slot at The Cheltenham Music Festival; and The British Country Music Festival. Now she is back touring for Autumn 2021. What’s more, Elles will be stepping from the road on land to the seas by playing on Joe Bonamassa’s ‘Keeping The Blues Alive at Sea Mediterranean’ cruise in August, 2022.

Elles Baley is issuing a special, limited-edition, 4-track CD: ‘The Sunshine City EP’. This includes ‘Sunshine City’, ‘Woman Like Me’, ‘Walk Away’ & ‘Love is Gonna Win’.
