Dirty Honey, L-R: Justin Smolian, Marc LaBelle, John Notto by Mike Savoia

Directed and edited by the award-winning Scott Fleishman/APLUSFILMZ, Dirty Honey’s brand new music video “The Wire” was shot at various locations on the band’s current U.S. tour with The Black Crowes, and provides the viewer a laminated, All Access pass to life on the road with what one journalist called “a band at the top of the new breed of rock and rollers.”

Dirty Honey continues to prove that, when it comes to straight-up, hard-hitting rock and roll, they’re the best new band out there. “The Wire” is a brilliant rock song and music video that stacks up to vintage Aerosmith and AC/DC at their best. The band’s masterful touch on this hard-to-pin-down sound and style is right on target and reminds you that real rock music is so far from dead that it’s about to kick your backside. Big hooks, soaring vocals, and ripping guitars are the order of the day on this track and its video, giving fans everything they need to start a party. The video brings us up close to the band and gives us a sampling of the Dirty Honey concert experience. It’s a thrilling clip that shows Dirty Honey at the peak of their powers and will make any September playlist more than complete.

“The opening slot on an amphitheater tour can be a thankless one but Dirty Honey rose to the occasion, converting the Crowes’ faithful as the crowd began to assemble.” – Forbes Magazine, Chicago

“Show openers Dirty Honey, put on a performance that was worthy of a proper double-billing and not just an ‘opening act.'” SF Bay Area Concerts, San Francisco

On the tour bus…arriving at the next gig…a little sightseeing on a day off…dinner and a cigar at La Scarola…soundcheck…signing copies of their debut album for that night’s merchandise booth…an after-show celebratory night-cap at a local saloon…from the dressing room to the stage…this is Dirty Honey’s,“The Wire.” Watch below.

Some musicians take a while to build an audience and connect with fans. For the Los Angeles-based quartet Dirty Honey, success came right out of the gate.  Released in March 2019, the band’s debut single, “When I’m Gone,” became the first song by an unsigned artist to reach No. 1 on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock chart. Their second single, “Rolling 7s,” went into the Top 5 and was still headed up when COVID changed everything.  That same year, Dirty Honey opened for The Who, Guns ’N Roses, Slash, and Alter Bridge and was the “do-not-miss-band” at major rock festivals such as Welcome to Rockville, Rocklahoma, Louder Than Life, Heavy MTL, and Epicenter.  On its first U.S. headline tour in January and February 2020, the band sold out every date.

When it came time to record its self-titled full-length debut album, the band—vocalist Marc LaBelle, guitarist John Notto, bassist Justin Smolian, and drummer Corey Coverstone—wasn’t about to mess with what was already working. Teaming up with producer Nick DiDia (Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam), who also produced the band’s 2019 self-titled EP, Dirty Honey again captured the lightning-in-a-bottle dynamics and energy of their live sound. “The Wire” is from the band’s self-titled LP released April 23, 2021. Dirty Honey is comprised of Marc LaBelle (vocals), John Not to (guitars), Justin Somolian (bass), Corey Coverstone (drums.)
