Guitarist, singer and songwriter, Ally Venable releases a new holiday song, “Snowin’ Down In Texas’ featuring guitar wizard Quinn Sullivan, and released by Ruf Records. Written by Venable and Sullivan, the song opens with acoustic guitar and Venable’s lovely, stirring vocals, beckoning a loved one to be by her side for Christmas cheer. A softer song of love for the holidays, the single features a beautiful melody and one to add to your playlist immediately.
Quinn Sullivan takes on the second verse with his soulful voice, answering back to Venable. The chorus features both artists in harmony on this moving song that echoes the loneliness many feel during the holidays and the need for togetherness, especially with the pandemic. Expressive guitar interludes add to the texture and appeal.
Ally says, “I’m really excited to release this new Christmas song that I wrote with Quinn this year. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did making it. I wanted to try a new approach to my writing with this tune as well as send a message of love because the world needs it right now. No matter what is going on in the world, we have each other and that’s the best gift you can get this Christmas, in my opinion.”
Adding to how the song was created, Quinn says, “When Ally asked me to do this with her, I immediately loved the melody she had started for this song. It was so much fun helping her finish this song and hearing it come to life. Thanks for having me, my friend.”
