Victor Wainwright is a powerhouse Memphis soul, roots-rockin’ bluesman and one of the best piano players around. The high-octane boogie piano of vocalist, songwriter Wainwright is backed by his tight, smokin’ band, the WildRoots. Victor Wainwright earned a 2019 Grammy nomination, has won seven Blues Music Awards for the “Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year,” BMA awards for the “BB King Entertainer of the Year” and “Band of the Year” and is a 2020 BMA nominee for “Piano Player of the Year.”
Dees and Wainwright have a partnership spanning 15 years and this collaboration is the latest in their collection. Their last release “Boom Town” garnered many accolades, including Blues Blast Magazine – Contemporary Blues Album of the Year (2016) & 37th Blues Music Award Winner (BMA Awards) Band of the Year and Entertainer of the Year (Victor Wainwright).
