of the Band’s Legendary 2007 Performance Will Be Available for Three Days
On The Official Led Zeppelin YouTube Channel Beginning 3pm ET on Saturday May 30
“Celebration Day,” the concert film that chronicles Led Zeppelin’s historic performance at London’s 02 Arena on December 10, 2007, will start streaming exclusively on YouTube starting this Saturday, May 30 for three days. And it’s free. The concert was a tribute for friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, who died in 2006. “Celebration Day” will be streamed on the official Led Zeppelin YouTube channel.
For the 2007 concert, the surviving founding members of Led Zeppelin reunited for the band’s first headline show in 27 years and one of the most wildly anticipated concerts in rock n’ roll history. 20 million people applied for tickets through a worldwide lottery. Founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of late drummer John Bonham. What transpired was a 16-song set that spanned over two hours and included performances of the rock n’ roll giants’ hits, “Rock And Roll”, “Kashmir”, “Black Dog” “Whole Lotta Love” and “Stairway To Heaven.” Led Zeppelin won a Grammy Award for Celebration Day for best rock album of 2014. “Kashmir” that was featured on the album, was nominated for best rock performance at the 56tth Grammy Awards (2013).
Considered one of the most influential and innovative rock bands who sold hundreds of millions of albums, Led Zeppelin disbanded in 1980 after John Bonham’s death. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005, and was honored at the Kennedy Center Honors 2012 for their contribution to American culture.

In 1968, Jimmy Page formed Led Zeppelin, one of the most influential, innovative and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Page brought in Robert Plant, John Bonham and John Paul Jones. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Jimmy Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.
Led Zeppelin continues to be honored for its pivotal role in music history. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995, received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005, and a year later was awarded the Polar Music Prize in Stockholm. The band was honored for its lifetime contribution to American culture at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012. In recent years, the group embarked upon an unprecedented reissue campaign of the band’s studio and live albums, along with their BBC sessions, which achieved Top 10 chart status around the globe whilst also garnering 5-star reviews and other critical accolades along the way.
