Video of the week comes early this week because this video from Joey Landreth landed in my inbox and I just had to post it and call attention to a wonderful blues-roots-rock musician who has one of the most soulful voices I’ve heard. This video comes from Landreth’s latest album, Whiskey.

From Canada, Joey Landreth is also a masterful guitar player and songwriter and in this video showcases a softer shade of Blues. Anchored in the Blues, Landreth launched his solo career in 2016. His latest album, Whiskey, was released January of 2017. He toured extensively through Canada, The US and the UK.

Joey joined forces with his older brother, David Landreth to form The Bros. Landreth and their album, Let It Lie, was immediately successful and won a Juno Award as well as other awards. Bonnie Raitt was so impressed with the band after seeing them at the Winnipeg Folk Festival and said,  “I haven’t liked a band as much as the Bros. Landreth in a long time…they blew me away.”

The Bros. Landreth are currently working on their next album and are on tour in Canada and Scandinavia.
