This is some video with Paul Rodgers and Joe Bonamassa. Paul Rodgers continues to amaze. At 68 years of age, his voice sounds better than ever. And what a voice. Joe Bonamassa, one of the great modern blues guitarists, blows us away with his slammin’ guitar chops on this song by Rodgers’ group called, Free. This video is simply one of the best. Two A-list musicians at the top of their game.
Founding member of Free, Bad Company and The Firm, Paul Rodgers is a Grammy-nominated solo artist, powerhouse vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. He has recorded and performed with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Brian May, David Gilmour, Buddy Guy, Joe Walsh, Slash, and many more. He is currently on tour. Joe Bonamassa, one of the biggest names in blues-rock, has 16 albums and counting, and tours constantly. At 12 years old he toured with B.B. King. His last studio album was on Billboard’s top 10 album chart, proving that a Blues album can debut next to the biggest names in popular music. Joe B. is currently on tour. Thanks for posting Martine, good stuff! Paul Rodgers should be in the R&R HOF. All these guys are at the top of their game ??
Jeff,
Thanks for your comment. I totally agree with you about Paul Rodger and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Yes, indeed they are.
Awesome video, great guitar and vocals, they should collaborate more often…
Jim, agreed! Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Right on, two of the top, makes me want a rock
?
I don’t know what the deal is with the “Joe haters”
He sounds GREAT, authentic, student of the art, craft and science
of making music.Good showman, sells his songs with passion;
Now, Paul Rodgers is superb! Can’t Get Enough…..
George,
He does sound Great, authentic, good showman— all you said. Yes, Rodgers is superb. Maybe that’s part of why they’re so good together. Love that Bad Company tune! Thanks for your comment.
No denying it Martine, FREE was the authentic bad boys of the early 70’s blues-rock scene. Rodgers continues to be in the upper echelon of vocalists. And Joe is obviously a student of Paul Kossoff. Can’t go wrong there. I wore right through “Tons of Sobs”, “Free” and “Fire & Water”. Great Stuff.
. . .Great Tune! . . .I’ve Loved This Song Since New! . . . .(oops! gave away my age. . . wink) . . .Paul Is One Of The Best Voices In “Rock” Still To This Day! . . .
John
Paul is that indeed.
