Experience Hendrix Tour Dates Added For Zack Wilde, Hunter Hayes & Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram

It has just been announced that Zakk Wylde, Hunter Hayes and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram are each performing at more dates than originally announced on this fall’s Experience Hendrix Tour – the critically acclaimed multi-artist celebration of Jimi Hendrix’s musical genius.

Wylde is adding two more appearances as part of the tour, joining the already star-studded lineups in Fort Worth (Oct. 11) and Tulsa (Oct. 12), putting him on a total of 22 of the 24 dates. The Nashville based Hunter Hayes will make a special hometown appearance at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville (Oct. 15). Kingfish will also play the Nashville date in addition to Columbia County Performing Arts Center in Evans, GA (Oct. 16) and all three Florida dates that conclude the tour (Oct. 17-19). The Grammy Award winning guitarist will now be featured at each Experience Hendrix performance concert beginning in Anaheim on October 1. These three lauded artists who come from disparate genres all share the common musical lineage of Jimi Hendrix, to whom they are paying tribute. The Experience Hendrix Tour also includes other great players and performers like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Samantha Fish, Taj Mahal, Eric Johnson, Dweezil Zappa, Mato Nanji of Indigenous, Calvin Cooke and Chuck Campbell of the Slide Brothers, Ally Venable, Dylan Triplett, Ayron Jones, Artur Menezes, Mathias Lattin, and jazz great Stanley Jordan.

Zakk Wylde was plucked out of obscurity at a young age to be Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist in 1987, instantaneously making him a household name in the metal/hard rock community. He went on to have great success as the guitarist/singer of his own band Black Label Society from 1998 to present. In 2022, he joined the re-formed Pantera as its guitarist. A veteran of past Experience Hendrix Tours, Wylde has never shied away from wearing his influences on his sleeve; he notably named his child Hendrix, after the music legend.

Louisiana native Hunter Hayes began his illustrious career in country music as a child prodigy, performing at the White House at age 7 and appearing as a child accordionist in The Apostle with Robert Duvall, who gifted him his first guitar. By 20, the singer/multi-instrumentalist had both a number one album and number one single on Billboard’s country charts. This will be Hayes’ first Experience Hendrix Tour, and no other city is more appropriate to make this appearance than in the country music capital of Nashville.

25-year-old Mississippi-born guitarist/singer Christone “Kingfish” Ingram has made a name for himself in a relatively short span of time. His debut album Kingfish topped the Billboard Blues Chart and Billboard Heatseeker album chart in 2019. His follow-up album 662 (2021) earned him a Grammy Award in the category of Best Contemporary Blues Album, and he was named Contemporary Blues Male Artist of the Year at last year’s Blues Music Awards. In 2022, Kingfish performed “Red House” on the roof of the Hard Rock Hotel in London to celebrate Jimi Hendrix’s 80th birthday.

For the first time in five years, The Experience Hendrix Tour returns to the concert trail with a slate of concert dates that offer the musical excellence of numerous topflight artists in celebration of the life and legacy of Jimi Hendrix. The last full-fledged (pre-pandemic) EH tour took place in 2019. The concept for the Experience Hendrix Tour dates back more than 25 years; what started as a single concert at San Diego’s Street Scene in 2001 and 2002 expanded by 2004 into a full-fledged national tour. This year’s outing marks the 20th anniversary of the Experience Hendrix Tour. The tour presents a host of great artists collaborating and interpreting Hendrix’s legendary songs as part of a powerhouse, three-hour concert experience. The wide range of multi-generational artists who participate in a reflection of the ecumenicism of Jimi Hendrix’s classic repertoire and the diversity of those whose lives have been indelibly affected by his music.
